Facilities

Amaroo is situated on 346 acres in Fayette County.  On either side of Greenwich Pike, Amaroo consists of the original Main Farm (206 acres) and Farm II (140 acres). The main farm has 3 large barns and 3 small barns in use (with another 2 small barns undergoing renovation).

The Broodmare Barn is a 20 stall concrete block barn.  The stalls are 12′ x12′ and four are equipped with cameras to assist with foal-watch.  Small and large paddocks as well as a large field surround the barn, allowing for gradually increasing turn-out for foals.  Two round pens allow for individual needs in the area.

The Training Barn is a 20 stall concrete block barn with a shed row.  These 12′ x 12′ stalls are supported by a wash stall, round pen, 6 horse walker, and rubber paved show area.  Ample paddocks as well as fields surround this barn.

The Tobacco Barn is a 16 stall barn converted from a tobacco barn.  Stalls measure 12′ x 13.5′.  This barn is adjacent to several paddocks and large fields.

The Stallion Barn has 4 stalls measuring 15.5′ x 15.5′.  A large aisle and wash rack provide a spacious area for horse care.  As expected, large paddocks are adjacent to this facility.

The Breeding Barn has a shed area as well as 4 stalls.

The five barns undergoing renovation include a 6 stall shed row barn adjacent to the Tobacco Barn and 1 Stallion Pods.  A holdover from the property’s stallion station days, the Pods each contain a pair of 15′ x 15′ stalls with large open centers.

Farm II is 140 newly acquired acres with 2 large barns and a converted tobacco barn.  With all new fencing and water lines, this property has been untouched for 20+ years and has beautiful fields and paddocks.
